Katherine Elizabeth "Kate" Harrison (nee Walrus) is a character on ABC's Trophy Wife. She débuts in the first episode of the first season of Trophy Wife. She is portrayed by starring cast member Malin Åkerman.
Biography[]
They say the third time's the charm, and reformed party girl Kate hopes that's true when she becomes the third wife of a slightly older man, Pete. They fall into each others' arms (literally) at a karaoke bar, and flash forward a year later, Kate finds herself with an instafamily complete with three stepchildren and two ex-wives.
Raised by a single mother, Kate enjoyed a wild and adventurous childhood growing up, but she'd always desired the stability and sense of belonging of a traditional family. Now she's got that and more, as she works to integrate herself into this big, messy family.
Kate must learn to be a parent on-the-fly, and she's eager to do so. Constantly battling an outside perception that she is a traditional "trophy wife," Kate is determined to become a part of this family that she loves. Her parenting style is fun-loving, impulsive, stubborn, and naïve—which can ruffle the feathers of the ex-wives, who have their own views on parenting. And while Kate may not be a traditional parent, she embraces her role as a step-parent. She's young, hip, and can navigate both the adult and kid worlds. Or, at least she thinks she can.
